EastEnders fans have theorised that Ben Mitchell may be heading for a dramatic exit, following his cruel behaviour in Monday's episode. Ben used the death of Zack Hudson's baby daughter against him, sparking speculation that he is following in the footsteps of his uncle Grant Mitchell.
In the episode, Zack was forced to pull out of a charity boxing match after being diagnosed with HIV, with Martin Fowler stepping in. Despite winning the fight, Ben taunted Zack in the Queen Vic, telling him he was glad Zack never became a father. This led Zack to reveal his diagnosis in anger.
Fans took to Reddit to share their theory that Ben's cyclical trauma is pushing him down a dangerous path. One user wrote: 'Ben's character really is about cyclical trauma. He's just Grant 2.0 at this point.' Another added: 'Might as well go full villain with Ben at this point.'
If Ben follows Grant's path, he may alienate his loved ones and eventually leave Walford. The question remains whether he can seek help and repair the damage before it's too late.
