In tonight's EastEnders, predatory Craig Ingram (Matthew James Bailey) finally manipulated vulnerable Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd) into bed, as his sexual misconduct sacking was exposed.
Amy's day began with another warning about her mystery man, this time from Kim Fox (Tameka Empson), who advised that if she wasn't ready to take things physical, he shouldn't push her. They were interrupted by Denise Fox (Diane Parish), brought home by Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega), and it seemed Amy would cancel her plans with Craig to attend Nugget's (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) birthday party.
That was until Denzel let slip that Denise had discovered Darnell Larson (Christopher Colquhoun) isn't a donor match, something she'd been keeping from Amy. Amy unleashed on Denise, hurt and angry, accusing her of shutting her out. Denise broke down, admitting she can't take much more—she's in pain and doesn't have it in her to carry on fighting. Amy was devastated at the prospect of Denise giving up treatment, while Denise's own pain overwhelmed her, struggling to manage her illness and its effect on everyone else.
Craig's sacking exposed
Storming out, Amy crashed into best friend-turned-enemy Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James), and everything came pouring out. Meanwhile, Craig left the police station with his box of belongings, jobless. As Amy pleaded for an explanation, Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) revealed to Callum Highway (Tony Clay) that Craig had tried to seduce a young female colleague by promising career help, then harassed her when she rejected him.
Back at the station, Craig blamed his job loss on Amy and on keeping her attack on Joel (Max Murray) a secret. Even in crisis, he continued to manipulate her as she begged him not to leave her.
Manipulation and champagne
While Denzel waited outside Harry's Barn and Denise left a heartfelt voice note apologising after a talking-to from Ash Panesar (Sakira Vel), Amy found herself back at Craig's flat, where he plied her with champagne and preyed on her pain before leading her to the bedroom.
Elsewhere, Suki Panesar-Unwin's (Balvinder Sopal) determination to learn why daughter Ash returned pushed her to contact ex-wife Gigi, much to wife Eve's (Heather Peace) displeasure. When Suki offered Ash a listening ear, Ash immediately realised her mum had been interfering, driving them further apart. Ned Hawkins (Jamie Bamber) learned his mysterious business partner was still in the country, while Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) gave Nugget the birthday party of his dreams.
What happens next in EastEnders?
On Wednesday, September 30, Nicola Mitchell's (Laura Doddington) stomach drops when bailiffs arrive at Harry's Barn—she still owes a ton of money. The Hawkins clan suggest a fundraiser, while Ned recruits Harry (Elijah Holloway) to visit his old business partner, making his intentions crystal clear. The fundraiser confuses Albert Square residents, and despite Ryder's (Felix Uff) recruitment of a huge group of punters, the money raised still isn't enough. When Harry and Ned return with cash to save the bar, the family is lifted, but Nicola is reluctant to accept his help.
The Panesar clan remain in turmoil, with Ash and Suki both unwilling to reconcile. When Suki denies Ash work at the surgery, Ash turns to Nugget, who's inherited the business, and smugly lets Suki know she's circumvented her. Meanwhile, Amy is heartened by a reconciliation with Denise, but Jack's emotional struggles push her closer to Craig, who ramps up his manipulation when unsettled Amy suggests slowing things down.
