EastEnders: Craig catches Amy as she tries to flee Walford

DC Craig Ingram (Matthew James Bailey) catches Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd) as she attempts to flee Walford in EastEnders next week, following her confession to Joel Marshall's (Max Murray) attack. Craig, who has been investigating the assault, is suspended from duty after a serious complaint, leaving both characters compromised.

Amy's confession and Craig's secret

Amy had confessed to being responsible for Joel's attack, leaving Craig reeling. She now pleads with him to keep it a secret, but Craig makes clear they are both compromised. He had previously withheld video of the teens tormenting Joel from evidence at Jack and Joel's request, fearing he could lose his job.

Craig heads to the station after Amy's plea, where he is told he has been suspended from public duty police following a serious complaint. As a result, he is taken off the Joel case.

Amy's escape attempt

Back on the Square, Jack tells Amy that the police will likely find Joel's attacker. Terrified, Amy decides to run away, but before she can escape, Craig catches her. Later in the week, Craig promises to be there for Amy, who accepts his support.
