Disney+ is set to unsettle viewers with a six-part docuseries titled 20/20 Britain’s Most Notorious Crime Investigations, available from Thursday, July 30, 2026. All episodes will be released simultaneously, each running 40 minutes.
The series marks the first time ABC News' legendary 20/20 franchise has focused on UK cases, reopening six high-profile investigations with archival footage, fresh insights, and exclusive interviews.
Ben Needham: Lost in Paradise
The first episode examines the disappearance of 21-month-old Ben Needham, who vanished without a trace in 1991 while on a family holiday in Kos, Greece. The search leads his family into child-trafficking networks, suspected burial sites, and a prison confession, but the truth remains elusive over 30 years later.
Joanna Yeates: The Killer Next Door
Episode two revisits the 2010 case of Joanna Yeates, a 25-year-old landscape architect who went missing after a night out in Bristol. Her body was later found, and the investigation turned her quiet street into a labyrinth of suspicion. Police arrested her neighbour, Vincent Tabak.
Ben Field: Thou Shalt Not Kill
Ben Field was convicted in 2019 of murdering university lecturer Peter Farquhar and defrauding his neighbour Ann Moore-Martin.
