Strictly Come Dancing star Dianne Buswell moved her co-stars and fans to tears with an emotional video of herself with baby Bowie. The dancer, who welcomed her first son with YouTuber partner Joe Sugg in March this year, brought the baby to the studio as she prepared for her next live show performance with Big Brother host Will Best.
An emotional ballroom moment
In a video posted to Instagram, Buswell showed herself walking onto the set with Chris McCausland last year while she was pregnant with Bowie, before pairing it with a clip of herself holding Bowie in the ballroom. She captioned the post: "Bowie visited the studio yesterday we had a little dance together ! He said the studio looks bigger from inside my tummy."
On top of the video, she wrote: "Walking out onto the floor doing our winners dance with my little boy in my tummy... And now walking out onto the floor with you in my arms," as an excited Bowie looked around the room while she stepped into the centre of the ballroom.
Co-stars and fans react
The post quickly drew compliments, with Vito Coppola writing: "Bellissimo. I’m crying," while Amy Dowden added tearful emojis with blue hearts. Joe's mum Tracey commented: "So beautiful I’m in tears too @vitocoppola Bowden certainly took the limelight yesterday 🥰 so many cuddles from everyone at strictly."
Tabby Stoecker added: "You’re such an inspiration." One fan said: "How beautiful. It’s also the same dance floor where mummy met daddy for the first time." Another agreed: "When this is the first thing you see on your phone in a morning you know it's going to be a beautiful day."
Upcoming performance
Buswell and Will Best are set to perform a Quickstep to This Love by Maroon 5 tonight as the remaining stars compete to stay in the competition. Actress Jaime Winstone and her partner Carlos Gu are exempt from the show tonight after Winstone sustained an injury during rehearsals. Strictly Come Dancing is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
