The BBC has unveiled the guest cast for the upcoming Christmas specials of Beyond Paradise and Death in Paradise, both set to air on BBC iPlayer and BBC One during the festive period.
In the Beyond Paradise special, set in Shipton Abbott, Devon, guest arrivals include Adrian Edmondson (Alien: Earth), James Lance (Ted Lasso), and Jonny Weldon (One Day). They join regular cast members Kris Marshall, Sally Bretton, and others. The plot involves a man found on the police station steps with no memory, holding a photo of DI Humphrey Goodman, as the team juggle festive cases and a secret plan by Martha.
For Death in Paradise, the Christmas special sees guest stars Josie Lawrence (Outside Edge), Kate Ashfield (Shaun of the Dead), Pearl Mackie (Doctor Who), James Baxter (Waterloo Road), Billy Harris (Ted Lasso), Oriana Charles, and Alix Serman joining Don Gilet and the regular cast. The story follows four co-workers who discover a stranger dead in their Caribbean villa's pool, with the murder weapon locked in a drawer thousands of miles away in Swindon.
Both specials are produced by Red Planet Pictures for the BBC and BritBox. Beyond Paradise is executive produced by Tim Key and Tony Jordan, while Death in Paradise is executive produced by Tim Key and America Rodriguez. All episodes of both series are available on BBC iPlayer.
