Daisy May Cooper has stepped down as team captain on Never Mind The Buzzcocks after four years, citing a scheduling conflict. The comedian has been a fixture on the Sky revival of the classic panel show since 2021.
Sophie Willan will take over as team captain for the upcoming fifth series. Willan previously filled in for Cooper when she was on maternity leave.
Greg Davies will return as host, with Noel Fielding continuing as a team captain and Jamali Maddix as a regular panellist. The new series, set to air this autumn on Sky Max and NOW, will feature themed specials focusing on decades and music genres.
Cooper's departure follows reports that she also stepped back from the upcoming Celebrity Traitors series. The BAFTA-winning actress recently welcomed her third child with partner Anthony Huggins.
