Coronation Street viewers were left devastated on Monday evening as Abi Franklin ended her relationship with Kevin Webster and departed the cobbles following the acquittal of her son's killer.
In the latest episode, a grief-stricken Abi was seen lying under a duvet in a state of depression. When Kevin offered her tea and declared his love, she coldly replied, 'Good for you,' before telling him they were 'done'.
Later, Abi revealed she was 'rotting' and planned to stay with a cousin in Doncaster. She told Kevin, 'I don't love you, never have done,' calling their relationship a 'lie'. Despite Kevin's pleas, she broke down in tears and left the house.
Fans took to social media to share their upset. One wrote, 'Gutted about Abi and Kevin #Corrie loved them two as a couple.' Another said, 'Abi is lying. She’s grieving she doesn’t mean them words.'
The dramatic scenes follow last week's verdict where Corey Brent was found not guilty of murdering Seb Franklin, while Kelly Neelan was wrongly convicted and later attempted suicide in prison.
