ITV's dramatic Corriedale special aired last night, bringing the worlds of Weatherfield and Emmerdale Farm together after a catastrophic car crash. While viewers saw Charity Dingle and Carla Connor meet in hospital, a deleted scene between Kirk Sutherland and Sam Dingle has now been released.
The scene, featured in the behind-the-scenes special Corriedale: Backstage Pass, shows Kirk and Sam trying to read a hospital map. Kirk explains he gave some people a lift but lost them, and Sam reveals his family members were involved in the crash. Kirk finds the surname Dingle amusing, but Sam is not impressed.
The clip ends with Kirk revealing he smuggled his pet dachshund into the hospital, prompting Sam to warn that might not be allowed. Kirk departs, calling Sam 'someone with smarts.'
Fans have reacted positively, with one Reddit user noting, 'Kirk is the only character who would plausibly bring a dog to a hospital!' Others demanded the scene be added to the main special.
