Coronation Street Stars Warn of Deadly Consequences in Upcoming Emmerdale Crossover

No one is safe in the highly anticipated crossover between Coronation Street and Emmerdale, according to the show's stars. Dubbed 'Corriedale', the explosive stunt is set to air next month, with detective Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) and her daughter Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) among those involved.

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, the actors teased massive repercussions for the characters caught up in the event. 'Things will come to an end, and then there'll be things that start from it, the branches of life will continue it,' said Vicky Myers. Sydney Martin added that the episode acts as 'a real pushing factor' for new storylines.

Both stars remained coy about specific plot details but hinted that the chosen characters were selected for a reason. 'I think there's a reason the characters in it have been written in it,' shared Myers, urging fans to 'hold on to your hats' for a 'wild ride'. The pair were unaware of the recent trailer release and are excited for viewers to see what they have filmed.

Myers also expressed delight at working with Emmerdale cast members, including Danny Miller. She noted that fan theories about a hidden hand in the promo—sparking speculation of a proposal between Lisa and Carla Connor—were not intentional. 'That wasn't purposely done!' she clarified, while Martin praised fans' investment in the show.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX. The Corriedale crossover promises to be a landmark event with far-reaching consequences.
