Coronation Street fans have been left gobsmacked after discovering the real age of Kyran Bowes, the actor who plays Jack Webster. The 18-year-old portrays the 15-year-old son of Kevin Webster, with viewers surprised by the three-year age gap.
Jack was born on-screen in 2010 following an affair between Kevin and Molly Dobbs. Molly died in the same year after the tram crash, and Jack has since featured in dramatic storylines including a sepsis battle that led to a leg amputation. Recently, Jack has been dealing with his father Kevin's depression, triggered by a cancer diagnosis and the departure of wife Abi.
Kyran Bowes, who turns 19 on April 28, has been playing Jack since 2010. Fans on a Coronation Street Facebook page expressed shock, with one commenting: 'Jack's only 18 in real life! That's the trouble when they cast older kids that play younger ones.' Another added: 'Seriously? WTF??? No way. lol.'
