Coronation Street stars have been spotted filming at Bolton Crown Court, as Tina O'Brien plays out Sarah Platt's fate following the murder of Theo Silverton. The on-screen family and friends of Sarah, including Jack P Shepherd, Lucy Fallon, and Julia Goulding, were seen on location, hinting at a court case storyline.
Sarah's Arrest and Charge
Sarah is currently behind bars after being charged with the murder of Theo, the abusive builder. The lifeless body was found by Betsy Swain on the night of her mum Lisa's wedding to Carla Connor, but it wasn't until a week later that Theo's death was confirmed, with the murder teased to be him and four other Weatherfield villains.
A murder investigation began, with suspects including Theo's husband Todd Grimshaw, his loved ones George Shuttleworth, Summer Spellman, Christina Boyd, his friend-turned-enemy Gary Windass, and his ex-wife Danielle Silverton. However, it was revealed to viewers that Sarah dealt the fatal blow, sending a drunk Theo tumbling off scaffolding outside his flat.
Filming at Bolton Crown Court
Despite her partner DC Kit Green's attempts to help cover up her crime, Sarah was arrested and later charged, admitting to the murder in self-defence. Now, the cast has been seen filming what appears to be a court case at Bolton Crown Court, with Tina O'Brien spotted alongside her on-screen family and friends.
Jack P Shepherd shared a snap on Instagram of himself, Tina, Lucy, and Julia heading to Nando's during a filming break, and later posted a selfie from the court's public gallery, captioned "Platting about." The post also included a throwback polaroid of himself with Helen Worth and Sue Nicholls, who play his mother Gail Platt and grandmother Audrey Roberts.
Corrie co-stars reacted to the post, with Catherine Tyldesley commenting "That old pic tho [love heart eyes emojis]," and Sally Carman-Duttine gushing "Beauts [love heart eyes emoji]." Former Corrie and Hollyoaks star Nikki Sanderson also replied: "Aww the last pic! The good old days [heart emoji]."
