Coronation Street stars Jack P Shepherd, Tina O'Brien, Lucy Fallon and Julia Goulding have been spotted filming on location in Bolton this week, with the group enjoying a visit to a local fish and chip shop.
Filming at Bolton Crown Court
The actors, who play David Platt, Sarah Platt, Bethany Platt and Shona Platt respectively, have been filming what appears to be a court case at Bolton Crown Court. Tina's presence suggests it is for Sarah Platt's trial, as her character was recently charged with the murder of Theo Silverton.
On Tuesday (August 4), Samia Longchambon, who plays Maria Windass, posted a photo on Instagram of herself, Jack, and Julia relaxing in a trailer between takes, teasing: "@coronationstreet location life."
Jack also shared a snap of himself, Tina, Lucy and Julia heading to Nando's during a filming break, and posted a selfie of himself, Julia and Lucy sitting in the court's public gallery, captioned: "Platting about."
Chippy tea at Mother Hubbard's
On Thursday (August 6) evening, Jack and Lucy shared pictures from their trailer as they, Julia and Tina tucked into a chippy tea. The group appeared to have visited Mother Hubbard's on St Helen's Road, which opened its doors in September 2021. The UK chain opened its first store in Bradford in 1972, with Coronation Street favourites Stan and Hilda Ogden, aka actors Bernard Youens and Jean Alexander, as guests of honour.
Sarah Platt's murder storyline
As Corrie fans know, Sarah is currently behind bars after being charged with the murder of the abusive character, after it was revealed she was the one to finish him off in a sinister confrontation. Theo's lifeless body was found by a horrified Betsy Swain on the night of her mum, Lisa Swain's, wedding to Carla Connor, but it wasn't until a week after the wedding aired that it was confirmed Theo had died.
A murder investigation quickly got underway, with Corrie confirming Theo's husband, Todd Grimshaw, as a suspect, along with his loved ones, George Shuttleworth, Summer Spellman, Christina Boyd, as well as Theo's friend-turned enemy, Gary Windass, and Theo's ex-wife, Danielle Silverton. But it was eventually revealed to Corrie viewers that it wasn't any of the six, as it was Sarah who appeared to deal the blow that sent a drunk Theo tumbling off the scaffolding outside his flat and plummeting to the ground - before she called on her former flame, Gary Windass, for help.
