Coronation Street Star Vicky Myers Overwhelmed by 50th Birthday Tributes

Coronation Street actress Vicky Myers, who plays DS Lisa Swain, has been left 'speechless' after receiving an outpouring of support for her 50th birthday. The ITV star took to social media to express her gratitude, saying her 'heart is full' following the heartfelt messages from fans.

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Myers wrote: 'Wow, you have achieved the impossible. I am speechless! Thank you doesn't seem quite right, or enough, but that's all I have right now. I'm overwhelmed with gratitude and my heart is full. THANK YOU.' She added that she would read all the messages and open gifts over the weekend.

Fans responded with warm wishes, with one calling her 'Queen Victoria' and another saying 'thank you for existing.' Myers first appeared on the cobbles in 2021 as a detective investigating the hate crime attack on Nina Lucas and Seb Franklin, which led to Seb's death. She became a permanent cast member in early 2024 and has since developed a romance with Carla Connor.

This was not her first role on the show; she previously appeared as a nurse in 1998 during Des Barnes' death scenes and later played a driver involved in a car crash storyline with Tyrone and Molly Dobbs. Coronation Street airs weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and is available on ITVX.
