Becky Swain (Amy Cudden) has caused turmoil on Coronation Street since returning from the dead, but her true nature has been exposed in chilling scenes. The former police officer, believed dead for four years, came back to reclaim her family, but her plans have increasingly turned dark.
After failing to win back her wife DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) and facing rejection, Becky turned her attention to manipulating their daughter Betsy. When Lisa insisted on marrying Carla Connor (Alison King), Becky's desperation grew, leading to a confrontation with DI Costello (Daon Broni).
In tonight's episode, Costello warned Becky to leave the country or face being killed, referencing the murder of Tia Wardley. But Becky stood her ground and unnerved Costello by asking about his daughter. Later, she was seen scanning social media for pictures of his child, hinting at a sinister plan.
Producer Kate Brooks has warned that Becky is willing to go to extreme lengths to get her family back. The question now is whether she will endanger a child to achieve her goals.
