Next week on Coronation Street, a drunken lads' night turns gruesome for Tim and Sally Metcalfe when Tim's cousin Richie is arrested for murdering his wife. With Richie's daughter Lucy needing foster care, Tim takes her in, but the Metcalfes may have taken on more than they can handle.
Richie's arrest shocks the Metcalfes
On Sunday, Richie's wife Rachel is furious about his boozy night with Tim, and after being thrown out, he returns to Tim's with a holdall. Sally reluctantly lets him stay. By Monday, Tim finds Richie in a blood-splattered shirt with a grisly scene at his house. On Tuesday, Lisa Connor-Swain tells Tim and Sally that Richie has been charged with murder, claiming self-defence, and Lucy has been taken into care.
Alya's dilemma over Speed Daal
Idris Nazir wants Alya's share in Speed Daal and pressures her as she juggles her legal career. After Adam Barlow tells her she must choose, Alya decides to sell her stake. On Thursday, Nick and Toyah warn Leanne that Idris is bad news, and on Friday, Idris offers Alya £35,000 for her share.
Sarah breaks Kit's heart
Sarah Platt ends her relationship with Kit Green to protect his career, leaving both devastated. In prison, Sarah finds an ally in new friend Kacey, who promises to protect her after a threat from another inmate. Kit struggles to hold things together outside.

Ronnie Bailey deals with Debbie's announcement, Jodie Ramsey targets a new person, and Fiz Dobbs' suspicions grow. Lucy's foster placement collapses, leading Tim to arrange for her to move in, but she runs off and is found at a bus stop. Later, Lucy clashes with Lily Platt and Jodie.
