Coronation Street stars have hinted at major twists ahead for their characters, including Megan Walsh's potential comeuppance, Carl Webster's possible redemption, and Jodie Ramsey's troubled past. The actors spoke to the Mirror about what lies in store after the murder week twist that saw Theo Silverton killed off.
Megan, played by Beth Nixon, was exposed as a child groomer and arrested after Will Driscoll reported her to the police. Beth confirmed that Megan is unredeemable and hinted at a prison exit, saying justice will be served. The cast was spotted filming court scenes, suggesting a trial is imminent.
Carl Webster, portrayed by Jonathan Howard, is recovering in hospital after an attack by Ronnie. In a heart-to-heart with his mother Debbie, Carl expressed a desire to change. Jonathan hopes Carl will still be a brat but also wants a redemption arc. However, rumours of an exit persist after a cryptic social media post.
Jodie Ramsey, played by Olivia Frances Brown, is hiding out with Daniel after trying to come between Shona and David. Olivia hinted that Jodie and Shona may grow closer, and that Jodie's past with her father is to blame for her behaviour. A mystery trinket box could be discovered, leading to more twists.
Coronation Street boss Kate Brooks confirmed the killer of Theo will be revealed in June or July. Jonathan teased that fans will not expect the culprit, ruling out the obvious suspects. The show airs weeknights at 8:30pm on ITV1 and ITV X.
