Coronation Street: Tyrone's dad Ross threatens to kill Cassie
Corrie: Ross threatens to kill Cassie over Tyrone

Ross Wilkes (Ian Burfield) has made a deadly threat to Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) on Coronation Street, warning that he will kill her if she tries to come between him and his son Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall). The chilling moment comes as Cassie’s exit from the soap approaches.

Ross arrives in Weatherfield

Ross arrived in the cobbles a couple of weeks ago after Ruby Dobbs (Billie Naylor) and Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan) tracked him down through a DNA website. What he kept secret was that hours before meeting his family, he had been with Tyrone’s mother, Cassie, at the Chariot Square Hotel.

Cassie chatted with Ross over drinks, but as she drank more, Ross’s dark side emerged. He made vile comments about how embarrassing she was. When he signed the bar tab and left, Cassie looked at the bill and realised she had been with Tyrone’s father.

Cassie reveals the truth

While Tyrone’s family got to know Ross, Cassie struggled to watch them fall for his charm. In today’s episode, everything came to a head as everyone celebrated Ross’s birthday. Outside the house, Cassie told Tyrone she met Ross when she was 15 and that he paid to have sex with her, which led to her pregnancy. Tyrone confronted Ross, but believed his lies about being a changed man.

Back home, Ross asked for another chance. Cassie reluctantly agreed, leading Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) and Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) to accept him too.

The deadly threat

But it was all an act. When Cassie was alone outside, Ross approached her and pinned her against the wall. He told her that if she comes between him and Tyrone again, he will kill her. With Claire Sweeney’s exit looming, the threat raises the question: is Ross going to kill Cassie to keep Tyrone by his side?
