Corrie Fans Recognise Tim's Cousin Richie from Hollyoaks

Coronation Street fans have been flocking to social media to point out that newcomer Richie, Tim Metcalfe's estranged cousin, is played by an actor they recognise from another soap.

The character, portrayed by Nathan Sussex, has been at the centre of explosive scenes on the cobbles. Tim was shocked to pick up Richie as a taxi fare in the precinct, having not seen him for years. With his wife Sally away, Tim invited Richie over for drinks, where Richie confided about his unhappy marriage. Tim offered him a place to stay, and Sally reluctantly allowed him to stay longer after returning home early.

Murder Twist Unfolds

Sally soon changed her mind and demanded Richie leave. Tim drove him home, urging him not to give up on his marriage. After finding Richie's wallet, Tim returned to find a bloodied and disoriented Richie, prompting him to call the police.

In Tuesday's episode, DS Lisa Swain confirmed that Richie has been charged with the murder of his wife, Rachel. Richie's daughter Lucy has been taken into care, and Richie claims he acted in self-defence. Later episodes this week will see Lucy move in with Tim and Sally.
