Coronation Street fans have called for a prison spin-off after it was confirmed that Sarah Platt will join a number of Weatherfield's inmates following her arrest for the murder of Theo Silverton.
Sarah's Arrest and Confession
Viewers learned last month that Sarah was responsible for the abuser's death, which occurred weeks after the villain's murder in April. Theo's lifeless body was found by a horrified Betsy Swain on the night of her mother Lisa Swain's wedding to Carla Connor.
Theo had been tormenting his husband, Todd Grimshaw, with months of physical and mental abuse. A 'whodunnit' initially named six suspects: Todd, George Shuttleworth, Summer Spellman, Christina Boyd, Gary Windass, and Danielle Silverton. However, it was later revealed that Sarah was the killer.
Sarah confessed the truth to Todd, who ended their friendship. Her partner, DC Kit Green, remained determined to pin the murder on Gary Windass, unaware that he was covering for Sarah. Kit eventually discovered Sarah's guilt when she confessed as he proposed.

Fan Demand for Spin-Off
Fans quickly suggested a spin-off due to the number of former Weatherfield residents already behind bars. @Larafk83 tweeted: "So potentially we have Becky Swain, Lou, Megan and now Sarah Platt all in the same prison together. I think it’d be amazing for a one-off prison episode of Corrie to see them all interact with each other." @fantastic_that replied: "I’d pay to see Lou and Sarah take on Becky!" @Sjl170 added: "Would make a great ‘bad girl’ type spin off.
