Corrie: Bethany and Kit's fling exposed by Jodie's recording

Bethany Platt's secret fling with Kit Green could be exposed in explosive fashion on Coronation Street after villain Jodie Ramsey played a recording of their confession. The character, played by Lucy Fallon, thought she had finally rumbled Jodie during Monday's episode, but the tables were turned when Jodie revealed she had recorded Bethany and Kit's conversation about sleeping together.

Jodie's recording threatens Bethany's plan

Bethany had just caught Jodie in the act and realised she was trying to mess with Shona, who had admitted she was worried about her mental health. Bethany was horrified to find out Shona was being set up, after Jodie had recorded baby Harper's cries to make her sister think she was imagining things.

But this isn't the only thing Jodie has recorded, also playing Bethany and Kit's confession about sleeping together. Jodie had a speaker in her hand as she played the recording, and warned: "I go down, you go down."

Doug's warning ignored

Jodie's dad Doug had warned Bethany and others about watching out for Jodie earlier on. He referenced her past and tried to convince everyone that he was not paranoid, after Jodie mixed up his medication. Doug was assessed by a mental health team due to him having bipolar disorder, and he was taken away.

He issued a final warning having also told Bethany to watch out for Jodie, so when Bethany realised what Jodie was up to, it seemed Bethany could be the one to bring Jodie down. But Jodie challenged her and the tables were turned when Jodie played the recording.

Final showdown ahead

Jodie does get exposed to a degree this week, but it is not known what exactly comes out. There is a final showdown between Jodie and Shona, who appears to find out about her plan and her trying to steal her life and her husband David.

It remains to be seen whether Bethany will be the one to make sure Jodie gets her comeuppance, and whether Bethany's own secret could come to light in the most dramatic way. Coronation Street airs weeknights at 8:30pm on ITV1 and ITV X.
