Coronation Street star Jennie McAlpine, who plays Fiz Stape, has been seen filming scenes where her character shows ex-boyfriend Tyrone Dobbs a new house she is considering moving into with her new partner, Phill Whittaker.
The scenes, filmed on location, show Fiz, Tyrone (Alan Halsall), and Phill (Jamie Kenna) touring an upmarket property. Fiz wore a leopard-print dress with a burgundy cami, while Tyrone sported a green T-shirt and purple hoodie. Phill was dressed smartly in a shirt and grey suit jacket.
Despite reports suggesting McAlpine might be leaving the soap, ITV has confirmed to MailOnline that the actress is not departing. A spokesperson said: 'Jennie is absolutely not leaving the soap. People have reported that her character Fiz is leaving the street as in she may be moving away from the street as part of a storyline but her character is still very much in the show.'
McAlpine, 38, first appeared on the cobbles 21 years ago as Roy and Hayley Cropper's foster daughter. Last summer, she told This Morning she was 'gutted' when her character split from Tyrone following his affair with Alina Pop.
