Coronation Street's Jodie Ramsey Exposed by David Platt

Coronation Street aired dramatic scenes on Wednesday night as the mystery surrounding Jodie Ramsey deepened. The newcomer, played by Olivia Frances Brown, arrived on the ITV soap earlier this year after being found tied up in a van. Shona Platt immediately recognised her as her sister, despite never mentioning her in the decade she has lived on the street.

Jodie has since moved into number eight, pretending to be helpful while Shona and David spend time at the hospital with their premature daughter Harper. However, her true intentions have been questionable, with viewers seeing her steal items and pressure niece Lilly into silence. Two unidentified men, credited as Bloke 1 and Bloke 2, have been searching for Jodie, demanding a USB stick she possesses.

In Wednesday's episode, Jodie planned to sneak away during Carla and Lisa's wedding reception but was caught by Lilly. The teenager tearfully confronted her, calling her a liar and telling her to get lost. The two men then arrived at number eight, but left after Jodie shouted at them. Later, Jodie discovered that Shona had lied about never receiving a childhood drawing, finding it hidden behind a photo frame.

Jodie then waited in bed for a drunken David to return from the reception. After kissing him, she tried to blame him, threatening to tell Shona. David ordered her to leave, but as she walked through the precinct, she realised she was being followed. Turning around, she demanded to know what the person wanted, ending the episode on a cliffhanger.

Jodie is one of five potential victims in Coronation Street's murder week, alongside Carl Webster, Theo Silverton, Megan Walsh, and Maggie Driscoll. Show boss Kate Brooks described the storyline as 'very complicated', ensuring all five suspects' stories align for the dramatic conclusion.
