Coronation Street Star Luana Santos Quits Soap for Drama School

Coronation Street actress Luana Santos has announced her departure from the ITV soap after filming her final scenes. The 18-year-old, who played Sabrina Adetiba since June 2023, shared the news in an emotional Instagram story, writing: "Last day with Corrie… thanks for everything @coronationstreet. Drama school here I come."

Santos posted a backstage mirror selfie with co-star Jack Carroll, who plays Bobby Crawford, but has not revealed details of her exit storyline. Sabrina was the girlfriend of Max Turner and became indirectly involved in Lauren Bolton's ordeal at the hands of Joel Deering, played by Calum Lill, who is also set to leave the show later this year.

The actress's departure comes amid other behind-the-scenes upheaval. Actor Sean Wilson, who returned for Helen Worth's exit storyline after five decades as Gail Platt, was suddenly cut from the show. An ITV spokesperson said he stepped down for personal reasons, but sources claim he has instructed lawyers after being removed from the storyline.
