Curly and Emma's on-screen romance saw them marry in 2001 after Curly's previous marriage to Raquel Wolstenhulme ended. The couple left Weatherfield for Newcastle with their son. Since leaving the cobbles, Kennedy has appeared in Holby City and Mrs Brown's Boys, while Lonsdale has featured in The Bill, Doctors, and Our Girl.
