Coronation Street fans were quick to slam Nick Tilsley as he made a dig at DS Lisa Connor-Swain, with many pointing out the same thing: he hasn't visited his sister Sarah Platt in prison.
Plot context
As viewers know, Nick's sister Sarah is currently behind bars after being charged with the murder of Theo Silverton. Lisa arrested Sarah last week after Theo's body was found by Betsy Swain on the night of Lisa's wedding to Carla Connor. Flashback scenes aired in June showed that Sarah appeared to deal the blow that sent Theo tumbling off scaffolding, and she later confessed to the crime, claiming self-defence.
Nick's dig and Carla's defence
During a visit to Weatherfield on Tuesday (July 29), Carla told Lisa she planned to visit Sarah, which both admitted was awkward. Later, in the Rovers, Nick asked Carla how the visit went. When Carla tried to remain positive, Nick made a dig at Lisa, saying he's sure she 'has Theo's best interests at heart'. Carla quickly defended her wife, threatening to throw her drinks over him if he continued. Nick eventually backed down.
