Coronation Street Fans Can Visit Real Rovers Return Set

ITV has announced that Coronation Street fans will now be able to see inside the iconic Rovers Return as part of a limited studio tour experience. The opportunity is available on selected Saturdays throughout August and September, with a limited number of tickets being released as an add-on to the tour of the famous cobbles.

Limited Availability and Exclusive Access

Lou Black, SVP Brand Licensing at ITV Studios, said: “Although we know the cobbles are the star of the show, our tour operators, Continuum Attractions, are often asked for a look inside a real studio. So we thought what better set to show off than the Queen of the Street, the Rovers Return, it’s the absolute pinnacle for any soap fan to be able to stand behind our legendary bar. With all the complexities of filming schedules and studio access, it’s fantastic to get to the point where we are able to welcome a limited number of guests into a working studio, and we can’t wait to open up so they can experience walking through those famous doors.”

The Iconic Set and Experience

The Rovers Return, located in Studio 1, has been the backdrop for some of the most iconic scenes in television history. Every ticketholder will get the chance to walk into the iconic bar and pose for an official photo. The pub, owned by fictional brewery Newton and Ridley, has been run by many famous characters. It is currently owned by Eva Price and Ben Driscoll, who took over from Jenny Connor last year.

The Coronation Street tours are located at Trafford Wharf Road in Manchester. The tour reopened in 2022 after lockdown restrictions eased. On the official website, the Studio 1 experience is described as: "For generations of fans, The Rovers Return has been the backdrop to some of Coronation Street's most unforgettable moments; wedding receptions, family celebrations, rows, romances, fires and Betty's legendary hotpot. Now, for the first time you can see exactly where it all happened and step into the real internal Rovers studio set. With just 20 people on each tour, you'll enjoy a more personal experience as you stroll down the famous Street before stepping inside the place that's seen it all."

The tour lasts around 3 hours, and adult tickets are priced at £60.
