Upon arrival at the canal, the group finds Roy's van but no sign of him. Spoiler shots show Roy by the water holding a bag, while Nina shouts for him without response. The Mirror reports that both characters could be feared dead in a New Year's tragedy.
The storyline involves Roy arranging to meet Nina, Brian, and Asha in the woods after dropping off Evelyn. However, the meeting is cancelled, and the group cannot contact Roy. He heads to the woods and accidentally drops his thermos flask in the river. When Nina arrives, she sees the flask but not Roy. As she approaches the water, she slips, bangs her head, and falls in. Asha and Brian pull her out and call an ambulance.
These scenes are set to air in January, leaving fans anxiously awaiting the outcome. Amid the drama, actress Mollie Gallagher, who plays Nina, was announced as a contestant on Dancing on Ice, seeking advice from her Corrie co-stars.
