Claudette pays off Emmerdale villain Steve to leave

Claudette Anderson (Flo Wilson) has taken decisive action to remove a dangerous influence from her home in Emmerdale. After growing tired of Steve's (Jason Done) disruptive presence, she handed him a wad of cash and told him to leave the village.

Claudette's risky move

Steve had been staying with Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill), Charles (Kevin Mathurin) and Claudette, but his chaotic behaviour was starting to irritate the Anderson household. Recognising that Steve represented the old version of Kev – a criminal – Claudette decided the money would be enough to make him disappear.

Kev had worked hard to reform his life after discovering he is the father of Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches). Steve, an old partner in crime, tried to persuade Kev to rob Home Farm, but Kev refused. Steve eventually went alone.

Now, with Steve gone, Kev is left wondering where his friend went. The question remains: could Claudette's bold move come back to haunt her?
