Lorraine Kelly welcomed her daughter Rosie Kelly and newborn granddaughter Billie to her ITV show on Wednesday, marking a full-circle moment 30 years after the presenter first brought Rosie into the GMTV studios. The 64-year-old host introduced fans to her 'beautiful' granddaughter during a segment with Dr Hilary Jones.
Rosie, 30, described Billie, born on 29 August 2024, as a 'dream baby' and praised her fiancé Steve White for being 'hands-on' and ensuring she got rest. She candidly discussed her experience with postpartum anxiety, telling Dr Hilary: 'I feel a lot better now. After the first six weeks, the fog has lifted and I can enjoy it more.'
In a touching moment, Lorraine took a crying Billie from Rosie and rocked her to sleep live on air. The presenter also revealed that her own mother had travelled to London to meet her great-granddaughter and was 'besotted'. Fans were moved, with one tweeting: 'So lovely to see the happy moment reenactment' and another calling Billie 'gorgeous'.
Rosie and Steve, who became engaged in June, are planning a wedding in 2026 when Billie can serve as a flower girl, possibly in Scotland. Rosie told HELLO! magazine that having Billie has strengthened their relationship, saying: 'I definitely love Steve more now.' Lorraine, who has embraced the nickname 'Granny Smith', advised the couple to 'sleep whenever you can'.
