Channel 4's new drama Tip Toe has barely launched but it's already taking a hiatus from television schedules.
What is Tip Toe about?
Crafted by It's A Sin and Doctor Who creator Russell T Davies, Channel 4's Tip Toe follows gay bar proprietor Leo (portrayed by Alan Cumming) and electrician Clive (David Morrissey) as they become adversaries following 15 years of neighbouring one another. However, what begins as mere animosity escalates into a considerably more dangerous predicament for both men.
Channel 4 Tip Toe episode release schedule
Tip Toe premiered on Channel 4 on Sunday, May 31, at 9pm, with the second instalment broadcasting this evening, Monday, June 1, in the identical time slot. Regrettably, audiences must now exercise patience before the remaining drama unfolds.
Tip Toe on Channel 4 consists of five episodes. Instalments three, four and five will be transmitted across three successive evenings from Sunday, June 7, through Tuesday, May 9, at 9pm, on Channel 4. The opening two episodes are presently available for streaming on Channel 4, with the final three becoming accessible on June 7.

Russell T Davies on prejudice and hate crimes
While Tip Toe addresses prejudice and hate crimes targeting the LGBTQ+ community, creator Russell T Davies contends that comparable levels of hostility affect other demographics. At the Channel 4 drama's screening, Davies stated: "I think it's a crisis happening day after day – and it's anyone. Everyone's being weaponised against [each other]. You could make a Jewish version of this drama, you could make a disabled version of this drama, women could make this drama. I see straight white men who could make this drama, feeling marginalised. It's the temperature of the dialogue and the argument and the pitch of it – all driven by our phones – that's alarming me greatly."
