Cain Explodes at Graham in Emmerdale War, Then Turns on Kyle
Cain Explodes at Graham in Emmerdale War, Turns on Kyle

Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) has been unaware of the brewing war in Emmerdale, but the truth has now come to light, rocking the Big Dog. His son Kyle (Huey Quinn) had been confiding in Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) instead of his dad, leading to inevitable conflict.

Cain believed he and Kyle were close, but he was oblivious to his son feeling disconnected from his distracted father. Kyle has endured a tumultuous few years: shooting Al, losing his mum, seeing Moira (Natalie J Robb) imprisoned, and now his dad's untreated cancer. To cope, Kyle started burning barns on Emmerdale Farm, a secret Graham discovered and kept.

Kyle Demands Answers About His Mother's Death

Kyle confronts Kim Tate (Claire King) and Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) for answers about his mother Amy's death. Joe was responsible: Charity (Emma Atkins) ran the limo off the road after a drugged Noah (Jack Downham) walked in front of her, a plan by Joe to steal his kidney. Amy plunged into an icy lake and died of cardiac arrest.

Graham arrives to do damage control as Kyle leaves, but at home Cain and Moira see Kyle agitated. Cain blames Graham and marches to Home Farm, seething that the Tates must stay away from Kyle, vowing Dingle backlash if they don't. Joe then demands Graham choose sides, a tough question for the morally conflicted Graham.

Cain's Anger Boils Over

The next day, Cain fails to control his anger around Kyle. As he rages, Kyle sets a shed on fire, trapping family dog Monty inside. Cain breaks down the door, fighting flames to save the pet. Everyone is stunned as Cain takes the barbecued pooch to the vet, leaving Kyle feeling guilty.

Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) delivers bad news: Monty has cancer, and his limited time is not due to the fire. Cain's instinct to save the dog gives him pause, as he has chosen to ride out his own cancer without treatment, highlighting his hypocrisy.
