Brooks Nader, known for Love Thy Nader, has joined the series regular cast of Fox's upcoming Baywatch sequel series, which is scheduled to premiere as part of the network's 2026-27 season. She will play Selene, the sharp-tongued Captain of the Zuma Beach lifeguards, whose rivalry with Baywatch Captain Hobie Buchannon intensifies when he brings his daughter onto his team.
The series follows Hobie Buchannon (Stephen Amell), the wild child from the original series who is now a Baywatch Captain, following in the footsteps of his father Mitch. His world is turned upside down when Charlie (Jessica Belkin), the daughter he never knew, arrives eager to become a Baywatch lifeguard alongside him. The cast also includes Hassie Harrison as Nat, Thaddeus LaGrone as Brad, and David Chokachi reprising his role as Cody Madison from the original series in a recurring capacity.
Fox has described the reboot as featuring adrenaline-fueled rescues, tangled relationships, and beachside heroics, with a new cast in the iconic red swimsuits, contemporary challenges, and a renewed mission to protect Southern California's shoreline. The show received a 12-episode straight-to-series order in September and will begin production this spring on Venice Beach and the Fox Studio Lot in Century City.
The original Baywatch, which debuted in 1989, became the most-watched show in over 200 countries, reaching over a billion viewers weekly at its peak. The reboot is co-produced by Fox Entertainment and Fremantle, with showrunner Nix and executive producers including McG, who will direct the premiere episode.
