Bridgerton star Yerin Ha develops skin condition after filming bathtub scene

Bridgerton season four star Yerin Ha has revealed that she developed a skin condition after filming a steamy bathtub scene. The actress, who plays Sophie Baek, appeared on Capital Breakfast alongside co-star Luke Thompson and explained that she got “hives all over” her body following the shoot.

Ha said she used baby powder to help dry her skin for the intimacy wear and tape, but the combination of the powder and bath water led to folliculitis the next day. “I blame myself,” she added. Thompson noted that the scene took six hours to film, but he did not suffer the same condition.

Folliculitis is an inflammation of hair follicles, causing bumps, pus-filled blisters, and itchy skin. It can be triggered by activities like shaving, hot tubs, or excessive sweating, according to the Cleveland Clinic.

The bathtub scene is part of the final four episodes of Bridgerton season four, released on Thursday. The episodes also feature the death of Lord John Stirling, played by Victor Alli, who confirmed to Netflix's Tudum that the cause was an aneurysm.
