Netflix’s Regency-era romance series 'Bridgerton' returns for its fourth season, with Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) stepping into the leading role. The season follows Benedict’s unexpected encounter with a woman known as the Lady in Silver at a masquerade ball, who is later revealed to be Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha), a maid working for Lady Araminta Gun (Katie Leung).
The series, based on Julia Quinn’s books, premiered in 2020 and has become a fan favourite. Season 4 will air in two parts: the first on 29 January and the second on 26 February. Returning cast members include Jonathan Bailey as Anthony Bridgerton, Simone Ashley as Kate Bridgerton, Nicola Coughlan as Penelope Bridgerton, and Luke Newton as Colin Bridgerton.
Newcomer Yerin Ha makes her series debut as Sophie Baek, the resourceful maid who captures Benedict’s heart. Ha, known for roles in 'The Survivors' and 'Dune: Prophecy', begins her love affair with Benedict at the masquerade ball. Thompson, previously seen in 'In the Club' and 'Transatlantic', was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award for his role in the 2024 play 'A Little Life'.
Ruth Gemmell reprises her role as family matriarch Violet Bridgerton, while Florence Hunt returns as youngest sibling Hyacinth. The season will also see the continued storylines of Anthony and Kate, now happily married, and Colin and Penelope, who welcomed a child in Season 3.
