BBC police drama Blue Lights is back with season four, just one year after series three was broadcast. The fourth season will air on BBC One on Tuesday, September 29 at 9pm.
The series, starring Sian Brooke as Grace Ellis, Nathan Braniff as Tommy Foster, and Katherine Devlin as Annie Conlon, is set and filmed in Belfast and has a devoted following.
Fans react to the return

What to expect in season four
A synopsis reads: "Three years into their jobs as response officers, Constables Grace Ellis, Tommy Foster, and Annie Conlon are operating at their limit, facing a new threat on the streets that the police can barely control."

On what to expect from season four, co-creator Declan Lawn teased: "Series 4 picks up six months on from the end of series 3, so it feels like the second half of one story."
"We tackle some of the biggest issues facing Northern Ireland today, including racism, attacks on migrant communities and pressures within the criminal justice system. It's probably our boldest series yet."
