ITV has unveiled a brand new design for the Big Brother eye and hinted at major shake-ups coming to this year's series. The broadcaster has pledged the most ambitious version to date, confirming the forthcoming edition will run for eight weeks.
New Eye Design and House of Surprises
The refreshed logo features a more authentic, lifelike eye with a purple iris, composed of numerous smaller eyes. ITV has revealed that the residence is being transformed into a house of surprises, designed to keep Housemates alert with surprise developments and pivotal moments lurking at every turn.
Throughout the extended series, viewers can anticipate bold tasks, crucial nominations, and explosive live evictions as housemates confront obstacles at every stage in their quest to survive longer than their competitors.
Hosts Return
AJ Odudu and Will Best are set to return at the controls, shepherding viewers through proceedings as a fresh batch of strangers enter the nation's most renowned dwelling. The broadcaster has yet to reveal whether the presenting pair will also helm the companion programme Late and Live again.
An official launch date for the series has yet to be formally confirmed but is anticipated to begin this autumn.

Supporters have already been responding to the programme's fresh appearance. Writing on social media, one said: "Was not expecting this. I kinda like it." Another added: "I don't know what I was expecting but it wasn't that." Someone else claimed: "Omggggg best one ever!! You have gone back to the roots and OG times. I love it."
Meanwhile, one person had a wild theory that ITV are already hiding the identity of this year's housemates in plain sight. They put forward: "Let me guess, the eyes are all the contestants going in?"

The upcoming series will have plenty to measure up to after last year's programme. The previous instalment was packed with drama, featuring feuds developing alongside splits and numerous arguments. One participant was booted out on the opening evening only to stage a surprising comeback and secure a place in the finale.
While one housemate was ejected by Big Brother after continuous rule violations. Ultimately, 60-year-old music composer Richard Storry was crowned the champion. Big Brother returns to ITV2 and ITVX later this year.
