ITV has released first-look images of The Blame, a gripping new crime drama starring Michelle Keegan and Douglas Booth, set to air later this year.
Plot and Cast
The drama follows DI Emma Crane (Keegan) and DI Tom Radley (Booth) as they investigate a tragic death in the seemingly quiet town of Wakestead. Secrets, suspicion and systemic corruption soon emerge, with the murder inquiry spiralling into a tangled web of institutional cover-ups and moral compromise.
ITV teases a series full of "unexpected twists and a riveting mystery," as the synopsis adds: "As the clock ticks and trust fractures, Crane must navigate both a murder investigation and the treacherous politics inside her own team."
The cast also includes Ian Hart as DCI Kenneth Walker, Nathan Mensah as DC Lewis Brimah, Nigel Boyle as digital forensic technician Neil Shergill, Joe Armstrong as ice-skating coach Kyle Frasier, and Matilda Freeman as Sophie Madsen. Completing the Wakestead Police team are Gavin Spokes as DC Joel Stevens, Josh Bolt as DC Douglas James, and Ceallach Spellman as PC Callum Drummond.

The drama is directed by Bex Rycroft for the first three episodes and Claire Tailyour for the final three, with Matt Strevens as series producer and Sara Huxley as co-producer. Lead writer and executive producer Megan Gallagher adapted Charlotte Langley's novel.
