An awkward moment unfolded on This Morning when Cat Deeley appeared to confess that she and co-host Ben Shephard 'cheat' during the show's competitions. The incident occurred during Monday's episode (September 29) as the pair discussed the Spin To Win segment.
After Ben outlined the competition's terms and conditions, Cat remarked: 'Yes, good luck!' before turning to him and asking: 'Are you saying that to me? Because of the competition?' Ben replied: 'Well, we know what happened when we've done this in the past,' prompting Cat to blurt out: 'We cheat a little bit!'
Regular contributor Gyles Brandreth appeared stunned and protested: 'I don't think we do!' Ben quickly interjected: 'We know, we never have, we never will. We can't!' Cat then clarified: 'We will never cheat! Sometimes, people don't pick up the phone...' as Gyles and fellow guest Ashley James burst into laughter.
Ben attempted to silence his co-presenter, remarking: 'You know Ralf [Little] and Will [Mellor] have that button that they can hit when someone's going to say something... Someone should've hit that!' Cat continued chuckling as the segment ended.
