The BBC has announced that the beloved programme The Repair Shop will return for a new series starting Wednesday, October 1st at 8pm on BBC One and iPlayer. The news was shared on the show's official Instagram page, accompanied by a photo of several experts.
While many fans expressed excitement, some noticed that certain regular specialists were absent from the promotional image. Viewers specifically called for the return of the 'Teddy Bear ladies', Amanda Middleditch and Julie Tatchell, as well as a shoe expert and a toy repair person.
One supporter commented: 'Someone very important to the show's success is still missing.' Another asked: 'Where are the teddy bear ladies?' A third echoed: 'Teddy bear ladies, shoe expert and toy repair person?'
The Teddy Bear Ladies have become firm favourites on the show and recently announced a new collaboration with fellow Repair Shop expert Richard Talman. They revealed a jewellery range featuring their bear Bartie Bristle, with pendants soon available for purchase.
Despite the concerns, many fans are eagerly awaiting the new series. One wrote: 'Really looking forward to it.' Another added: 'I cannot wait! I love the show and how amazing you all are!'
