The Gold dramatises the Brink's-Mat robbery that took place on 26 November 1983 at the Heathrow International Trading Estate in London. At the time, it was the largest robbery in history. While several arrests were made, including Micky McAvoy and Brian Robinson for armed robbery, the bulk of the gold remains unrecovered.
