The BBC has released the first trailer for Celebrity Traitors series two, offering a glimpse of the upcoming season. Claudia Winkleman appears in her signature full fringe, asking the assembled celebrities for a 'moment of silence'. Familiar faces, including Maya Jama, Michael Sheen, Bella Ramsey, and Richard E Grant, are seen sitting on church pews with serious expressions.
Star-Studded Line-Up Filmed at Ardross Castle
The celebrity cast was confirmed after filming took place at Ardross Castle earlier this year for the second season of the popular BBC show. The series follows last year's win by Alan Carr, who took home the trophy undetected by the Faithfuls.
In the trailer, Claudia ominously tells the group, 'Thoughts and prayers', before adding, 'Who doesn’t love a dramatic exit?' The BBC has teased that the show will return soon, but no official air date has been announced.
Contestants Keep Quiet About Their Experience
The stars have remained tight-lipped about their time in the castle, including Richard E Grant, who was questioned on The One Show. He revealed he had contacted his friend and former contestant Celia Imrie for advice on what to expect.
He shared: 'I said, Celia, what is the thing that you can’t be prepared for? She said, “The cruelty of people who you instinctively want to trust”.' He added: 'Like in a room like this and suddenly every single person suspects you. I think that’s a very accurate thing to have said.'
The actor then pulled a dismayed face and put his hand over his mouth, saying: 'I’ve already said too much!'
Charity Prize at Stake
All the famous faces will compete for the chance to win up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice. Last year, Alan Carr chose Neuroblastoma UK and won £87,500 for the organisation, which is dedicated to finding a cure for the aggressive childhood cancer.
