BBC has confirmed the replacement for the 'exceptional' thriller Two Weeks In August, which aired its explosive final episode last month. The series, created by Catherine Shepherd, concluded on Saturday, 27 June, with episode eight now available on BBC iPlayer.
Series Overview
The show follows a group of friends reuniting for a summer holiday on a Greek island. Their getaway is disrupted by an illicit kiss and escalates when they become trapped. In the finale, a deadly wildfire forces Zoe (Jessica Raine) and her friends to make life-altering choices as they flee the blaze.
Replacement Programming
With the series over, the coveted 9pm Saturday slot on BBC One has been replaced. On 4 July, BBC News at 9:15pm airs, followed by MOTD Live: FIFA World Cup 2026 at 9:30pm.

Two Weeks In August earned an 88% Rotten Tomatoes score. One viewer praised the cast, saying: 'There isn't a single actor in this show who failed to fully embody their role.' Another added: 'I ended up completely hooked... The characters felt real and relatable.'
