Antiques Roadshow Expert 'Raving Mad' Over Rare Fabergé Items Worth £40,000

An Antiques Roadshow expert went 'raving mad' for a never-before-seen Fabergé pendant and brooch, valuing them at a combined £45,000 to £50,000. The episode, filmed at Beaumaris Castle in Anglesey, North Wales, featured jewellery expert Geoffrey Munn examining the items brought by a guest on behalf of a friend.

The pendant, featuring diamond-encrusted initials over a sunburst enamel effect, bore a Cyrillic inscription translating to 'Maybe it's better not to wait.' Munn described it as 'court jewellery at the highest possible level by Fabergé' and valued it at £10,000. The Siberian aquamarine brooch, encircled by diamonds with a true lover's knot, was appraised at £35,000 to £40,000.

'I'm going to go absolutely raving mad for this one,' Munn said of the brooch, prompting gasps from the crowd. The guest, visibly thrilled, remarked, 'Isn't my friend going to be happy!' She added that her friend was abroad and would be 'thrilled to bits' with the valuations.
