Countryfile's Anita Rani is back on Channel 4's Aldi: The Next Big Seller and has launched the second season of her podcast Sisters of Defiance, a project she calls her big passion.

Anita Rani joins new host Jimmy Doherty and Aldi UK's Chief Commercial Officer Julie Ashfield on the judging panel for the new season of Aldi: The Next Big Seller. Emerging businesses pitch to win a spot on Aldi's shelves.
Anita will help identify two finalists who get a few weeks to address feedback on their products. The winner's creation will appear as a Specialbuy in over 1,080 Aldi stores nationwide.
Sisters of Defiance Season Two
Season two of her podcast Sisters of Defiance has just launched. The podcast features candid conversations with women who have challenged social expectations, broken rules, taken risks, and reshaped culture.
Anita said: "We have amazing guests for the line-up of phenomenal women who talk to me about their life through their acts of defiance, the times when they have been rebellious and not lived by the rules."
She added: "The women who have become the heroes of their own stories and that's my big passion, it's what women need don't we? To hear incredible stories and feel we are, sort of, seen."
Countryfile Ramble and Memorable Moments
The Countryfile star is also taking part in the Countryfile Ramble for Children in Need this weekend. She said it was an honour to still be part of the series.
"It's incredible that I'm still a part of it, it's such a privilege to be part of that team. I absolutely love it," she shared. "I love connecting the dots between urban life and rural life and actually, we are not that divided."
Reflecting on her career, she recalled a memorable moment in Dumfries and Galloway in Scotland, planting seed trees on a mountainside while soaked through. "I looked at the cameraman and there was water dripping off the end of his nose, and I was absolutely soaked, and I had a snowboarding jacket on," she said.
"I looked up and just couldn't stop laughing and they kept it in the programme, that journey home I was still squidging when I walked back into my house."
Behind the Scenes of the New Series
Anita called the series an "amazing production to work on", adding: "There's a lot of good food lying around, so I always like to take a goodie bag home with me if there's any left as the production gets to eat it all."
She added: "It's just a really great programme to work on. It's joyful, it's food, it's entertaining, people are going to really enjoy the competition element, but also, there is a lot of heart because it's people and it's passion."
Aldi: The Next Big Seller airs weekly on Thursdays at 8pm on Channel 4, starting November 5.
