Jennifer Aniston Films Intense Scene for The Morning Show Season 5
Aniston Back on Set for The Morning Show Season 5

Jennifer Aniston is back in the full swing of things as The Morning Show continues to film season five of the hit Apple TV+ series. The 57-year-old actress appeared thoroughly prepared as she got ready to shoot what seemed to be an intense scene in downtown Los Angeles on Thursday.

A Day on Set

Aniston could be seen going over what appeared to be dramatic dialogue while clutching a script. A production assistant walked alongside her, reading what looked like a copy of the scene. Dressed in a short-sleeved black top and dark loose trousers that pooled around her flip-flops, the star looked effortlessly cool in aviator sunglasses with her hair perfectly styled.

At another point during the day, Aniston—whose ex-husband Justin Theroux recently welcomed his first child with wife Nicole Brydon Bloom—was spotted wrapped up in a coat and scarf while holding her mobile phone. She was accompanied by the same assistant, who guided her by the arm.

While some scenes are filmed on location in New York, the show shoots extensively in Los Angeles. Much of the production, including interior newsroom scenes, takes place at Sony Studios in Culver City.

Fan Excitement Builds

Earlier this month, Aniston gave fans a glimpse behind the scenes when she posted a photo from The Morning Show newsroom. The image featured a spiral notebook open to a page with a hand-drawn vase of flowers. "If you're reading this…" she wrote in the caption, adding sunflower and heart emojis.

Fans responded enthusiastically. One wrote, "Back at work!!! TMS is the best and I'M SO EXCITED FOR THIS SEASON!!!" Another said, "AWWWW CAN'T WAIT." A third commented, "I'm looking forward to this season!!" One fan complimented the actress, saying, "This feels like a hug through the screen! You always know how to make things feel lighter." Another fan expressed excitement for the characters Alex and Bradley, played by Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, who have a love-hate relationship on the show.

Witherspoon Confirms Filming

In mid-March, Aniston's co-star and producing partner Reese Witherspoon confirmed that season five had begun filming by sharing a behind-the-scenes video of her first day back on set. The words "First day back on set filming season 5 of The Morning Show" appeared on screen as Witherspoon walked around the familiar set.

She could be heard saying, "I feel like a good song for this video would be Started from the Bottom Now We're Here," before adding, "It's very important on your first day back to say 'Hello' to everybody." She then shouted "Welcome back!" to a passing car. Witherspoon went on to high-five cast and crew, including Aniston. The co-stars were later seen sitting at the news desk as Witherspoon announced, "We have breaking news." Aniston added, "This is season five, and we're back."

Aniston's Return After Restful Break

The Friends alum is returning to work after a long and restful break during which she relaxed and took vacations with her wellness guru beau Jim Curtis. The couple went Instagram official in November 2025.
