Amanda Owen Makes Emotional TV Return After Split from Clive

Amanda Owen has returned to television in a new Channel 4 series, Our Farm Next Door, alongside her ex-husband Clive Owen. The 50-year-old Yorkshire Shepherdess spoke candidly about the difficulties of their separation, admitting the past year has been 'incredibly hard'.

The series documents the Owens' efforts to restore a derelict farmhouse, a property they purchased before their split in 2022. They are joined by their nine children as they work on the renovation, while continuing to run Ravenseat Farm together.

In the first episode, Amanda tells the camera: 'Me and Clive, although we're still husband and wife, we are separate. This last year has been incredibly hard in so many respects. But we've got through it.' Clive adds: 'We're now at a place where, although we're not actually together, we're still in business together, we still have kids together.'

The former couple, who were married for 22 years, have maintained a working relationship for the sake of their children and business. Amanda attributed the breakdown to 'pressures and stresses', but said they are 'pulling back together' to complete the house renovation.

Reflecting on the end of her marriage, Amanda told Lorraine Kelly: 'You don't always get the happy ending that you want and things go wrong but that's life, isn't it?' The new series marks their first TV project since Channel 5's Our Yorkshire Farm was cancelled after five seasons, which had attracted 15 million viewers.
