The BBC has officially announced that the much-loved comedy thriller Am I Being Unreasonable? will return for a third and final series. The show, created by and starring Daisy May Cooper and Selin Hizli, has been praised for its bold, surprising, and emotionally fearless storytelling.
Details of the Final Series
Filmed across Bristol, Gloucestershire, and the wider West Country, the new six-episode series will pick up directly after the events of the second series. Cooper and Hizli expressed their excitement and slight concern about concluding the story. They stated: 'We're so excited (and slightly concerned) to return to the mad world of Am I Being Unreasonable? The first two series have been an absolute joy to make and we couldn't be more grateful to be back for a third time with our incredible cast and crew. There's a lot to say in this series - some of which we probably shouldn't - but we're hoping to end on a high.'
Plot Synopsis
The official synopsis teases: 'Is Nic's (Daisy) confession finally out there? What exactly did Jen (Selin) do to Mrs Baggot? Has Dan (Dustin Demri-Burns) put a bun in the wrong oven? Did Ollie (Lenny Rush) make Suzie (Amanda Wilkin) go away? In this murky moral tale everyone is forced to confront their messy realities once and for all.' The series promises hilarious set-pieces from the colourful comic characters of the village of Copbury.
Critical and Audience Reception
Since its launch in 2022, the show has garnered a dedicated fanbase. The second series aired in 2025. Viewers have described it as 'unpredictable and shocking,' with 'brilliant' writing that is 'laugh out loud funny.' One fan on Reddit remarked: 'This show has made me laugh, cry and kept me gripped.'
Industry Praise
Jon Petrie, BBC director of comedy, praised the show's success: 'Daisy May Cooper and Selin Hizli have created a comedy that is bold, surprising and emotionally fearless, and its BAFTA-winning success is a testament to their extraordinary talent.' Shane Allen, executive producer at Boffola Pictures, added: 'Our eccentric blend of character driven comedy and panic attack plotting sees loyalties pinball in all directions. Daisy and Selin's scripts for this series are chockfull of jaw drop ideas and outrageously funny dialogue.'
Am I Being Unreasonable? will return to BBC iPlayer and BBC One.
