Ali Larter's Burgundy Dress for Jimmy Kimmel Show

Actress Ali Larter made a striking appearance in Los Angeles this Sunday, drawing attention with her impeccable style as she arrived to film an episode of The Jimmy Kimmel Show.

A Glamorous Arrival

The 49-year-old star showcased her statuesque figure in a sophisticated burgundy strapless mini-dress from the brand İlkyaz Özel, valued at an impressive £910. The structured satin garment provided a perfect backdrop for her very leggy display, creating an ensemble that effortlessly blended elegance with modern flair.

Larter elevated her already commanding presence with a pair of towering black stilettos that added significant inches to her frame. Her accessories were carefully curated to complement the glamorous look, featuring black oval sunglasses, substantial silver earrings, and a sleek black clutch for her essentials. Upon her arrival at the LA studios, she was also spotted wearing a chic black leather trench coat.

Promoting The Landman Season 2

The actress was visiting the popular talk show to discuss the highly anticipated second season of The Landman, the Paramount+ series where she portrays Angela Norris. This character, described as the sex-crazed ex-wife of Billy Bob Thornton's Tommy Norris, has generated significant discussion since the show's debut.

The series, set against the backdrop of West Texas's oil boom, follows roughnecks and wildcat billionaires attempting to strike it rich during a fueling boom. Larter shares the screen with an impressive ensemble cast including Demi Moore, Christian Wallace, Paulina Chávez, Billy Bob Thornton, and Michelle Randolph.

Addressing Character Controversy

Last season, the actress faced some criticism regarding the objectification of her character, which was created by Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace for their small-screen adaptation of Wallace's 2019 Boomtown podcast. When questioned by The Hollywood Reporter in June about this feedback, Larter offered a thoughtful and unapologetic response.

"There's good press and bad press. That's challenging," she acknowledged. "I try to keep myself at arm's length from that and stay with the work." The actress then added with confidence, "I'm also like, 'Objectify me. C'mon!' Nobody's putting me in a position that I'm not comfortable being in."

Larter emphasized her professional autonomy, noting that as a mother of two children and someone married for 16 years, she feels secure in her choices. "If there was something I was uncomfortable with, I wouldn't do it," she stated firmly. "What's more uncomfortable is that people are so uncomfortable with their sexuality."

Her character often appears in revealing scenes, filmed in lingerie or bathing suits, and has even gone topless for a sex scene in the popular program.

In a previous interview with Good Morning America, the Legally Blonde star expressed her enthusiasm for the role, gushing about the opportunity to work with such talented colleagues. "I get to work with an incredible cast and the entire crew is so gifted and talented that I just feel like I'm playing at the top of the game," she shared.

Paramount+ officially renewed The Landman for its second season in March, with production scheduled to begin in April. Away from the spotlight, Larter maintains a family life with her two children, Theodore, 14, and Vivienne, 10, whom she shares with her actor husband, Hayes MacArthur. The couple originally met on the set of National Lampoon's Homo Erectus back in 2007.
