Alfie Allen and Shazad Latif lead the cast of Atomic, a new action-packed crime series airing on Sky Atlantic at 10pm. Allen plays Max, a drug smuggler who meets the enigmatic JJ (Latif) while driving from north Africa to the Middle East. The pair quickly find themselves in danger, facing violent extremist ambushes and pursuit by the CIA and MI6.
What begins as a fight for survival soon evolves into a story of redemption. The series promises high-octane thrills and a compelling partnership between the two leads.
Elsewhere on television tonight, Channel 5 at 9pm features Ben Fogle visiting Rupert, a man who left the UK to become a rice farmer in the Japanese mountains. ITV1 at 9pm airs the penultimate challenge of a game show where Stephen Mangan locks one partner in a cell while the other searches for keys.
Channel 4 at 10pm presents First Dates, with Wendy, 66, and car salesman Gary, alongside Towie star Leah and ex-bouncer Steve. A tribute to the late drag star The Vivienne airs, celebrating their life with friends including Baga Chipz and Cheryl.
On Netflix, The Thursday Murder Club adapts Richard Osman's novel, starring Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley and Celia Imrie as retirement home residents solving a murder.
